Chubb is looking for a .NET Software Engineer to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position based in France with a compelling opportunity to join a global, growing, financially stable and successful company.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into efficient technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement user-friendly, scalable, and high-quality software applications using Microsoft stack including C# and .NET 8.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, principles, and best practices.
- Continuously optimize application performance through monitoring, profiling, and fine-tuning.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and enhancements to existing systems.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to identify and resolve software defects and production issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with QA engineers/DevSecOps team to implement robust testing strategies, including unit test cases. Working with Change requests & ITIL processes in Service Now to drive things.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members whenever required.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
- Participate in DevSecOps activities to make changes in yaml files to support & maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins.
Qualifications
Profile requirements :
- 7-9 years of experience in Microsoft technologies - C#, MVC, Web APIs and .NET Core.
- Experience in designing and developing Restful APIs, .NET based projects and working with Web Services (SOAP/REST).
- Good understanding of SDLC and Microservices architecture with extensive experience in building microservices with .NET Core Web APIs
- Experience with Design Patterns, OOPs concepts and SOLID Principles.
- Experience in Docker & Kubernetes based Container Platform would be an advantage.
- Good knowledge on Azure cloud platform; Certification on Azure (AZ-204/AZ-400) good to have.
- Experience in using ADO.NET, Entity framework, LINQ.
- Proficient with Visual Studio 2022 and VS Code and source control using GIT Hub.
- Good understanding of Agile, DevSecOps and CI-CD automated deployment (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jenkins Pipelines)
- Experience in using tools - Postman, SonarQube.
- Excellent communication, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and problem-solving skills.
