The JAL (Japan Airlines) digital lab is today composed of 2 scrum team working on the Service train (for APAC region). The goal of the lab is to build and maintain JAL digital flows according to JAL's vision.
The lab is really close to the customer, as we have daily interactions and week calls, where we monitor our progress and we discuss future deliveries.

The lab is today composed of 16 people, with 2 scrum teams, 2 PO (one located in Tokyo),2 scrum masters, 2 QA, 8 developers, 1 manager and engineering head, 1 digital Head (located in Tokyo).

The scope of the digital lab today is:

The whole International flow:

• Booking
• Rebooking
• Manage my booking
• Servicing

The redemption flow

• International and Domestic
• Booking
• Rebooking
• Servicing

- The JAL specific extension of Digital commerce

- The Self Reaccommodation flow for international

- The Self Service checking flow for International (starting now!)

The teams are working on different project architecture (DES with RefX, DES with Bespoke UI, e-retail with bespoke UI) depending on flows, but is also getting ready for a soon full migration to DES that is under discussion today with JAL, in order to prepare the e-retail sunset by end of 2026.

We are today looking for a new Senior Software Development Engineerto join us in Villeneuve Loubet. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical projects for JAL, one of our key clients.

As new member of the digital lab, you will be part of a dynamic team that builds custom products and solutions specifically for JAL. You will have the chance to work on a wide range of technologies and enhance your skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Your Main Responsibilities

Common accountabilities:

• Has the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in own discipline. Knowledge of the Amadeus business and how it is related to own area.
• Works using existing procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions. Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information.
• Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction from manager.

Specific accountabilities:

Analyse specifications

• Define user requirements for the development of new (or upgrade of existing) software solutions

Design systems and code

• Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
• Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
• Develop software according to Amadeus standards.
• Model, design and implement databases.

Test and maintain the software

• Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
• Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.
• Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst

Document your work

• Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.
