Your New Role
We are looking for a Technical Assistant to join our team at RFD France. In this role, you will provide essential support to the technical department, assist with administrative tasks, and ensure smooth operations for technical projects. You will work closely with both the management and workshop teams and play a key role in managing the lifecycle of MES systems, revising technical documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of services.

Your New Role
We are looking for a Technical Assistant to join our team at RFD France. In this role, you will provide essential support to the technical department, assist with administrative tasks, and ensure smooth operations for technical projects. You will work closely with both the management and workshop teams and play a key role in managing the lifecycle of MES systems, revising technical documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of services.
What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
General Mission:
- Provide secretarial support to the technical department.
- Maintain the history of MES systems (replacements, deployments, etc.) in the CUMULUS database.
- Assist with planning and scheduling (MES, lifeboats, etc.).
- Help prepare cyclical spare parts orders for MES.
Workshop Assistance:
- Update the Marinark database online (CUMULUS) and produce reinspection certificates before each project (priority task).
- Assist the Workshop Manager with administrative tasks.
- Produce revision certificates and distribute technical instructions as per procedures (parts orders, filing, acknowledgements of receipt).
- Organize transport logistics for projects (best pricing, ordering, hazardous materials, etc.).
- Coordinate lifting operations for certain projects (crane orders, work permits, etc.).
- Manage customs documentation when necessary, liaising with the freight forwarder and customs agents.
Service:
- Manage the commercial process for lifeboat revisions (excluding MES).
Substitution:
- Be capable of replacing administrative personnel during absences.
Audits:
- Conduct internal audits and manage performance indicators.
The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have
Essential Criteria:
- Exceptional organizational and administrative skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), database management, and communication tools like Outlook.
- Strong command of English (both spoken and written) is essential.
- Highly detail-oriented and methodical.
- A collaborative team player.
- Comfortable handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Clear and concise communicator.
- Open to and adaptable to change.
