Role: Content Writer

Location: Flexible Location - Any SCC Site (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Package: £24,000 - £25,000 plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year

Hours: 9.00 am - 5.30 pm, Monday - Friday

Role purpose:

We are looking for a Content Writer who will be responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing the Bid Library and will also be responsible for its contents quality, accuracy, currency and delivery. Facilitating interactions between the Bid Centre and its internal customers are primary functions of this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Index, catalogue and manage the content of the library.
  • Consider development criteria for the Library, pipeline tracking, knowledge sharing forums and tools to ensure that services and sales are best served in accessing and being made aware of the Bid Library content and facilities.
  • Become and remain aware of the contents of the repository materials and examples to best advise requesters of suitable content to meet their enquiries for relevant examples to re-use.
  • Complete and maintain research into market specific challenges and tailor text to reflect these.
  • Work within strict guidelines and processes.
  • Review cycles and owners responsible for the upcoming reviews.
  • Archive older materials.
  • Contribute to the selection of new materials and identify displaced articles for consideration.
  • Ensure the content submitted and accepted conforms to the quality and standards of SCC.
  • Contribute to the communication and marketing of the Bid Centre.
  • Support the creation of Sales Enablement sector specific text including liaising with other departments and third parties.
  • Maintaining and awareness of the libraries content, intentions, solutions and types of materials, to be able to act as a point of reference for enquiries for suitable examples of bid requirements being addressed
  • Act as a decision maker in content reviews and submissions to determine the suitability of content to be included, or retired, from the core materials set.
  • Collate, QA and publish case studies/references of the opportunities won across the business.
  • Research customers, sectors and technologies to improve documents, identify content gaps or improve bid library experience for users.

Skills and experience:

  • Ability to use all of Microsoft 365 software packages and other creation software such as Canva, Turtl, indesign etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities, running to tight deadlines.
  • Confident to speak with people from all levels within the business.
  • Good writing standard, can follow a brief, producing high quality content based on knowledge gained through research and discussion
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to be a good team player.
