As individual contributors, they bring world-class technical abilities to deliver industry-leading systems in areas such as data visualization, virtual runtime profiling, and planet-scale streaming. As technical leaders, they bring experienced technical breadth and communication skills to tackle design and architectural problems spanning the organization, charting the right course, and then leading delivery.
In both roles, they participate in the staff engineering community and help us learn from what the industry is doing and what we've built before, and so improving company-wide standards around software and systems engineering.
Case Management provides a single pane of glass to view issues in customers' systems and allows them to triage tasks through prioritization, assignment, bulk actions, flexible views and integration with third-party ITSM products. With Datadog's Case Management product, customers assign and track their work items without leaving the Datadog platform and keep all their data in one place to make it easier to resolve issues without switching contexts.
Case Management further helps Datadog minimize time to market to launch new products that support new engineering processes. It acts as an opinionated work tracking platform upon which other products build user experiences that best support their processes.
As Staff Engineer on Case Management, you will take the frontend of this product to the next level of growth and maturity both from a UX perspective but also define core building blocks and components that will make Case Management a platform for other Datadog products to build on.

What You'll Do:
- Use your expertise to design and deliver technology that will power the next generation of products
- Work on your own hands-on projects, from design to implementation
- Implement, ship and own the frontend solutions you design
- Take cross-team decisions that will influence the Datadog frontend community at large
- Lead through example and excellence, helping the people around you grow
- Improve processes on your team, and across the whole of frontend engineering
Who You Are:
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Hands-on experience working with React and TypeScript
- 4+ years of technical leadership experience, including both effective communication of complex concepts and experience coordinating across teams to ship critical products
- Strong UI/UX intuition, adept at working closely with product design and product management stakeholders to develop a shared vision and deliver on it
- You have led development of high-complexity, high-performance interactive browser applications, including architecture, interaction design, and optimization
- Ability to bring best practices from across the world of software engineering and adapt them to the frontend environment
