d2m Services is seeking a Lead Survey Positioning specialist for an 8-month assignment focused on the installation of an anchoring system for a gas project currently being deployed on an FPSO.

This position requires significant experience in similar projects.

Responsibilities

Management:

• Team Management: Supervise the survey team, organize the hierarchy, update job descriptions, manage the CV database, track team members' progress, and organize necessary training.
• Planning: Develop and monitor the team's schedule.
• Directive Communication: Ensure clear communication of directives to team members.
• Coordination: Lead and coordinate the small team.

Documentation:

• Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain a library of engineering documents for the survey, including methods, procedures, equipment datasheets, control sheets, report templates, maps, and the project survey manual.
• Updates: Update standard documents based on feedback and NCRs.

Projects:

• Material and Personnel Needs: Define material and personnel needs with the project team and ensure their availability.
• Team Selection: Select the survey team for the project, manage the schedule, and recruit additional personnel in coordination with the party chief surveyor and HR department.
• Cost Control: Provide necessary information to cost control related to the survey.
• Project Geodesy: Define and control the project's geodesy.
• Technical Documentation: Draft technical notes and procedures in collaboration with the engineering and/or construction manager, including control sheets.
• ITP: Implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for survey-positioning.
• Specifications and Purchases: Prepare specifications for surveys or outsourced services and approve equipment specifications and purchases.
• Site Procedures: Develop procedures and ensure their application on site in collaboration with the construction manager. Validate procedure modifications based on site constraints.
• Survey Plan: Develop the project survey plan with the party chief surveyor and prepare price requests for outsourced work.
• Subcontractor Management: Oversee subcontractors on site.

Equipment:

• Registry and Tracking: Manage the equipment registry and track certification/calibration.
• Shipments: Prepare equipment shipments to projects in collaboration with the transport department.

Requirements
Desired Profile

• Language: Fluent in English is mandatory.
• Experience: 5 years of experience in a similar role, with significant experience.
• Sector: Experience in the offshore sector, on platforms, and internationally.

Technical Knowledge:

• General knowledge of offshore, maritime, and underwater work.
• Knowledge of offshore work procedures.
• Mastery of safety regulations.

Additional Skills:

• Microsoft Excel: Advanced skills required.
• MS Project: Required proficiency.
• Autocad: Required knowledge.
• Positioning/TMS Software: Proficiency with positioning and TMS software.
