About the Role

As Team Lead, you will have direct responsibility for the P&C Claims Experts working for the region. You will report to the Head of P&C Claims Western and Southern Europe and Middle East and Africa.

Moreover, you can look forward to:

• Prioritizing and leading the daily claims management across the P&C claims related value chain. The role will ensure alignment of activities to the markets and client strategies and enable an efficient and coordinated delivery of services to internal and external clients.
• Developing representation in market bodies and expanding network of industry contacts. Maintain client relationships in the markets under responsibility in line with the principles of right service for the right clients.
• Contributing to the cross functional teams, the client managers and client underwriters with your claim insights, actively shaping results, and market strategy. Add to thought-leading internal expert networks to build client impact.
• Deep and broad understanding of the claims portfolio within your responsibility and ability to analyze drivers of performance, trends within the portfolio by using all available sources of information and analytics tools available.
• Ensuring strategy on large claims, timely and accurate reporting on individual claims, portfolio level and actively solving problems to prevent surprises. Leading the claims portfolio for respective markets ensuring timely and justified payments, consistency, and adequacy of case reserves.
• End-to-end understanding and thinking across the whole insurance and reinsurance value chain.
• Driving impactful, client-related projects in support of our value proposition, providing strong links to the strategy.
• Promoting our technical expertise and represent Swiss Re in professional bodies such as APREF & France Assureurs.

You will become a technical leader for a team of three driven, passionate, collaborative claims experts. Your team and the broader claims community are truly diversified in professional background, nationalities, and personalities.

About You

We are seeking a team leader with an engaging personality who leads by example, demonstrating Swiss Re's leadership imperatives.

You are a self-motivated, positive, and empathetic individual with cross-cultural skills, ready to speak to relevant clients and partners. Moreover, you have:

• Evidence of first experience in leadership and strong portfolio-based claim-handling with ability to identify and understand claim trends and developments.
• Ability to adjudicate individual claims to drive positive outcomes.
• Strong background in either Property or Engineering
• Detailed understanding and knowledge of the markets.
• Preferentially completed university degree in Law or Insurance studies.
• Evidence strong primary insurance and ideally reinsurance experience.
• Data literacy or preparedness to acquire respective skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English required.
• Preparedness to travel.

For France, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 70,000 and EUR 104,000 for a full-time role.

The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
