Who You Are:

You will work at the hearth of our Connectivity Business unit within the Customer Sales Engineering Group and will report directly to the VP of Customer Sales Engineering.

You will have a central role in the development of the Business, by understanding the customer needs, managing the optimization Eutelsat capacity, collaborating with cross-functional department and ensuring the most appropriate usage of Eutelsat assets.

What You'll Do:

You will be in charge of the following activities:

  • Lead the Satellite Capacity Management Team within the connectivity Business Unit.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans for the Capacity allocation that align with Eutelsat's goal
    • Lead and support the team in complex evaluations, problem solving and challenging customer environments.
    • Ensure smooth transfers of services between transponders and satellites, by preparing transfer plans, minimizing outages
    • Contributing to the definition of satellite configurations and restoration plans for satellite partial or total failure as per commercial / technical directives

  • Lead and develop the solution engineering function whose objective is to deep dive and test customer uses case.
    • Through solution engineering, write white papers on customer use cases to disseminate and share the knowledge with the customer sales engineers.
    • Champion the voice of our partners to influence product direction and feature priorities
    • Manage and build the customer labs.
    • Manage and build the mobile demo vehicle.

  • Build processes to measure the performance and impact of the Solution Engineering Team and ensure that the team is optimized to meet rapidly evolving business needs
  • Assist in implementing new tools, updating or creating processes

What it Takes:

  • 10+ years' experience in a technical sales role (Solutions Architect/Consultant/Presales,etc)
  • At least 3+ years of experience in satellite communications
  • Master's degree in Telecommunication or Satellite Engineer
  • Good knowledge of satellite communications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to pro-actively engage with all the stakeholders involved in the sales cycle
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Fluent English is mandatory / any other language is a plus
