As R&D Application Senior Engineer, you will manage the design of the actuator for which you are responsible. You will be the technical contact internally, with customers and suppliers. In addition, you will propose innovative, patentable solutions, and ensure that they are feasible, industrialized and of the quality required to ensure the company's profitability.

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Carry out, on the basis of a customer request or an internal request, the study of actuators, including the proposal of innovative solutions, taking into account quality, cost and lead-time aspects.
• Analyzing customer requirements, carrying out the functional analysis and proposing internal specifications
• Carry out and monitor the validation plan (DVP&R) in line with the development process
• Prepare and lead product FMEAs and draw up the list of associated product characteristics to ensure product reliability
• Ensure technical monitoring of internal and external suppliers
• As an R&D specialist, take part in solving specific factory problems (warranty returns, line problems)
• Play an active role in your department's productivity initiatives and propose solutions for improvement
• Know and apply the safety, environmental and security rules defined in our factories to your suppliers, within your scope of action

Your profile:

• University degree with professional qualification in mechanical engineering or related field
• At least 5 years' professional experience in similar positions in a modern manufacturing environment - preferably in the automotive industry
• Excellent working knowledge of 3D engineering tools (preferably Solid Edge and/or CatiaV5)
• Excellent communication skills in English and ideally in French
• The ability to work independently and systematically
• Willingness to travel frequently in Europe, on average 20% of the time
