Context

While moving to the public cloud, the logging solution is being re-invented around Splunk, one of the leading industry solutions for collecting and analyzing data coming from various sources.

Logs being of vital importance for our internal customers investigation and mean time to recover reduction, we need you to join us to build a cost conscious, automated, scalable, and resilient logging solution based on the Splunk Kubernetes operator.

Log collection and enabling value extraction out of the logs in Splunk are as well part of our mission which makes the logging journey to the cloud a rich and diverse one.

About the position

The qualified logging Dev candidate should be interested in Amadeus logging frameworks/libraries, investigation practices, and observability in general.

The candidate will be part of a team of Developers/DevOps professionals developing, maintaining, and operating logging systems while adapting and migrating them from the Amadeus private data center to the public cloud.

In a technological landscape evolving fast, the candidate will have opportunities to learn and be particularly interested in Kubernetes and cloud-related technologies. The candidate will work with C++ to evolve our logging/concealment libraries, with GO language typically used in the Splunk Kubernetes Operator, or Python, which is also present in the ecosystem.

The ability to take a step back, think about the customer's needs, and how logging fits into the global cloud design is also important to influence the logging deployment model and services.

In a multicultural Agile team in SAFe, strong communication skills to interact with other team members based in different sites, the Scrum Lead, the product owner, management, and all other stakeholders are also key to being successful.

Amadeus, having partnered with Microsoft, deploys the logging stack on Azure, so knowledge or experience in MS Azure is beneficial.

What we're looking for

• Significant experience in Software Development with C++ required
• Demonstrated skills in communication and collaboration required
• Fluency in English required
• Interest in observability and logging, Kubernetes, HELM
• Additional experience with Java/Python/Go is appreciated, but not required
• Splunk and MS Azure experience is beneficial
• Automation (Jenkins, ArgoCD, Terraform, Ansible) is advantageous
