Role Description:

CDSClear IT is the team behind the technology powering CDSClear - a critical clearing service within the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). Our technology provides the core clearing and risk management platform functionality. The systems undergo change as part of projects with commercial, operational risk reduction, regulatory or infrastructure drivers.
We are looking for a highly skilled Manager in Quality Engineering to manage testing efforts across CDSClear and lead a team of Testers and SDETs based in Paris, Bucharest and London. In this role, you will coordinate the QA and testing of platform changes across the IT team and CDSClear business line. You will additionally drive the definition, execution and tracking of tests completed by IT. In this role, you will be expected to energetically drive test exploration, challenge development and business change areas on their test deliverables. The team seeks to have an early defect detection approach and to that end the Manager will ensure maximum defects are found as early as possible. You will therefore need to be a strong collaborator who expresses curiosity and learns our business. We also need you to be somebody with a passion for automation and process improvement. The challenges facing the team offer a natural opportunity for using leading edge AI tools to improve automation and test coverage. You will therefore need to be passionate about innovation, have solid technical skills suitable for managing the build out of automated test solutions and somebody who embraces change.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a collaboration with Development, Function Leads, BAs and PMs to build out test strategy and plans fo testing of the Clearing Platform and other technology products such as our new Digital Portal.
- Engage with projects though entire SLDC to understand requirements and sign-off their testability.
- Lead the build out of new functional test cases, striving for automation.
- Own the execution and tracking of regression tests and improvement of regression packs when gaps are identified.
- Non-functional testing including formalised capacity testing.
- Drive improvements in test automation and CI/CD integration.
- Test governance and reporting including the tracking of test execution across all teams and the reporting of defects.
- Leadership of team members with both hard and soft reporting lines.
Candidate Profile / Key Skills:
- Proactive and clear communicator who can adapt to technical and business audiences.
- Management and Leadership skills suitable for a 5 to 7 person team spread over two to three locations.
- Demonstrated collaboration in a global corporate environment.
- Awareness of OTC derivatives trade life-cycle.
- Experience with utilising test management tools for tracking, reporting and automation (such as Zephyr).
- Strong awareness of control environment and cyber landscape applicable for a financial services firm providing key market infrastructure.
- Strong verbal and written English skills.
It would help us if you have:
- Knowledge of Credit Default Swap (CDS) products.
- Knowledge of software development best practices concerning the use of Enterprise source control and CI/CI.
- Development skills suitable for Test Automation development with tools such as Cucumber or Cypress.
