Tech Soft 3D is the leading provider of engineering software development toolkits and industrial applications for CAD/CAE data conversion, visualization and data publishing.

From manufacturing plants to medical devices, our technology powers the industrial applications that keep the world running. At Tech Soft 3D, we give developers the tools to create reliable, high-performance software that solves complex engineering challenges and delivers tangible results in the real world.

Are you passionate about ensuring the highest quality in software through automation and meticulous testing? If so, we are seeking an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be the champion of quality within your squad, leveraging automation wherever possible and stepping in with manual testing when necessary.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, enhance our automation testing frameworks, and help drive the success of our software through robust testing practices. If you're detail-oriented and thrive in an Agile environment, this is the opportunity for you.

This position is based in either our Lyon office or in Sophia Antipolis, both in France, with flexibility to work from home.

What You'll Do:

  • Write automated tests for functional and performance testing using in-house and 3rd-party automation frameworks
  • Work hand in hand with all squad members following agile methodology, bringing QA expertise, and acting as the voice of QA
  • Own the product test sessions for a specific part of our regular product releases
  • Help the team organize the tests, analyze test reports, and investigate root causes of product failures
  • Participate in overall quality improvement by providing feedback on product documentation, coding practices, etc.
  • Provide guidance to junior QA Automation engineers

What We're Looking For:
  • Master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years' experience as a test automation engineer
  • Experience in writing code with one or more programming languages: C or C++, Python
  • Knowledge of at least 1 Test Automation framework (e.g: Selenium...) and usage of a Test Management System
  • Demonstrated experience of Linux/Windows environments: i.e, shellscript, batch, etc
  • Previous experience testing toolkits or other products, through the development of code to call into APIs
  • Previous experience in working with a CI/CD (i.e Jenkins, etc)
  • Understanding of software QA principles, methodologies, and processes
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • English working proficiency required

Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Familiarity with 3D-related concepts like CAD, CAE, BIM, or 3D Computer Graphics
  • Experience with multi-platform products (Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, Android, etc.)
  • Experience working with Robot Framework
  • ISTQB certification

Reasons to Not Apply:
We believe in matching great talent with the right roles. You might want to pass on this opportunity if:
  • You prefer a slow-paced environment that resists change
  • You expect rigid job boundaries and minimal cross-team collaboration
  • You're uncomfortable working across global time zones or adapting to evolving priorities
  • You prefer highly structured oversight over autonomous, results-driven work
  • You don't like to have fun!

Benefits and Other Cool Stuff:

Our employees enjoy a robustbenefit package, health coverage, bonus potential, exceptional paid time off and holidays, and generous parental leave.

Not to mention, the cool perks you get as a "Techsoftian" ... fun culture, a relaxed and inclusive environment, outstanding leadership, continuous learning and growth opportunities, flexible daily schedules, a charitable donation matching program, home office reimbursement, monthly internet allowance, an amazing employee recognition program (winners get an all-expense trip anywhere in the World!) and an authentic workplace where you can truly be yourself. Our work touches nearly every corner of the world. As our CEO, Ron Fritz, puts it:

"You almost can't walk down the street and see a man-made thing that somehow hasn't been touched by Tech Soft 3D technology. That makes me feel great."
