We're hiring for a Quality Engineer who is fluent in both French and English. This is a contract opportunity lasting 6 months working 30+ hours a week in Vannes, France. This will be done on first shift hours, Monday-Friday. This role will be instrumental in performing quality assessments, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA), and ensuring adherence to industry and client-specific standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Program Management - Working with other departments such as other engineering teams, inspection teams, and other program managers. Running the supplier quality programs (Sigmaphi).
- Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA): Lead investigations of non-conformances using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone analysis. Ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented and sustained.
- Inspection Planning: Develop and review control plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and verification activities to ensure product conformity throughout the manufacturing process and prior to shipment.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create detailed assessment reports, qualification packages, and audit findings. Maintain records of discrepancies, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- NPI Support: Assist in the qualification of new products and suppliers, including review of PFMEAs, process flow diagrams, and First Article Inspections (FAIs).
- Process Validation: Validate critical manufacturing processes and assess inspection methods for effectiveness and risk mitigation.
- Supplier Collaboration: Partner with suppliers to resolve quality issues, improve process controls, and implement best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and support improvements to quality systems, procedures, and production workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or Supplier Quality, with hands-on experience in RCCA, QMS auditing, and process validation.
- Management and leadership experience.
- Problem Solving Tools: Proficiency in quality tools such as 8D, PFMEA, SPC, GRR, Control Plans, and Risk Assessment methodologies.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing processes for mechanical or electromechanical systems, including inspection of assemblies, welds, HVAC, or power handling systems.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to clearly document findings and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field-or equivalent experience.
- Bilingual French & English.

- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification
- Six Sigma Black Belt
