A vacancy for a Test Component Specialist for Flight Test Installation (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join the Flight and Integration Test Centre, especially the Enhanced Systems team composed of systems and software engineers.

Your mission:

As a FTI component specialist, your mission will be to manage a part of the technical activities linked to components located in the heart of the Flight Test Installation such as:

• on-board computing platforms,
• data recorders,
• Ethernet switches and tapping,
• PTP time synchronization specific systems.

Under the lead of the Core FTI Systems technical team leader, you will contribute to the following tasks:

- Test components development in accordance with the DE.TA.03 process:

• collect new needs and specify technical requirements,
• drive development with suppliers (specification, design, functional and qualification tests)
• manage purchase orders and Call for Tenders in interface with the procurement department,
• lead integration and deployment phases on our test aircraft

- Control, maintenance and L2/L3 operational support activities in close collaboration with operational teams. Investigating hardware issues or network issues on Aircraft between test flights will be part of your recurring activities.

- Equipment obsolescence to anticipate operational issues.

You will work in a multi-skilled group of people, working on both hardware, software development and support, interacting with a lot of stakeholders such as other component specialists, project managers, support functions leaders, operational teams,...

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

• Educated to Master's degree level (or equivalent) in IT systems engineering, or electronics components development, with knowledge in Ethernet networks, servers and workstations,
• Knowledge in Unix/Linux Operating Systems and security
• Knowledge in project management and practical problem solving
• Experience in IT asset management, hardware tests, hardware qualification, hardware integration, technical documentation writing
• Curiosity, Team player, Rigor
• Will to work in a technical environment, will to gain new technical skills
• Intermediate level of English (B1).
