QA Automation Engineer - Hospitality Business Intelligence
Summary of the role

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be a key member of the Hospitality Business Intelligence Research and Development (R&D) delivery team. Working predominantly in an Agile environment, you will collaborate closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met to the right quality standards.

You should have a background in Automation Testing for web applications, with knowledge in Object-Oriented Programming (e.g., Java) and practical experience working with different databases for data validations.

In this role you'll:

Delivery of quality aspects of projects & initiatives

• Build automation framework and reusable automation tests/test scripts using Selenium in Java.
• Proficient in working with Oracle and experienced in Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Automation.

Design and perform tests.

• Design and develop test cases and scripts, as needed.
• Prepare test environment, test data, and execute test cases.
• Approve or disapprove the customer's test campaign.
• Oversee the project, product, or release quality control.

Fix Problem Tracking Records (PTRs).

• Provide information to developers to fix defects.
• Check PTR fix and approve or disapprove the load of Production PTRs.
• Document software defects.

Communicate and coordinate.

• Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders.
• Ensure delivery without gaps.
• Maintain effective interpersonal relations with stakeholders.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across different departments and stakeholders.

About our ideal candidate

• 5+ years of Automation Testing experience with automation tools such as Selenium, User Interface (UI) testing, and framework designing.
• 3+ years of advanced programming skills including knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (e.g., Java).
• Practical experience in performing Backend Testing using SQL across databases, and experience in Application Programming Interface (API) Testing using tools like POSTMAN and Simple Object Access Protocol User Interface (SOAP UI).
• Knowledge of tools like Maven, JUnit, TestNG (Test Next Generation), Jenkins, and excellent analytical and debugging skills.
• Proven experience improving automated test coverage for existing applications.
• Proficient in English.
