Quality &Products 's main mission is to develop and deploy innovative digital solutions for product quality management,offering a large panel of functionnalities from operational decision to root cause analysis.

These solutions are deployed in ArcelorMittal plants all over the world (currently 48 production lines in 23 plants are equipped with our solutions) to contribute to quality improvement and mastering leading to multi-million dollars value creation.

Your role:

Managing projects in an international multi-disciplinary environment, with various stakeholders (R&D teams, Quality and IT specialists from the plant)

Your missions:

As research engineer in Quality & Product Departement, you will lead exciting projects that make a real impact on product quality and that contribute to the digital transformation of ArcelorMittal. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with a diverse array of stakeholders, including cutting-edge R&D teams, dedicated Quality Expert, and IT specialists from ArcelorMittal plants, in order to :

• Lead global deployments: you will immediately take in charge the implementation of our digital solutions for product quality management in various ArcelorMittal plants worldwide. You will have to ensure that the deployed solutions meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
• Support ArcelorMittal plants in the use of our solutions : as the entry point of some specific plants, you will support and advise quality managers to use the solutions optimally and to finely tune the applications with the ultimate goal to take the best quality decision, as fast as possible, as automatic as possible.
• Develop models to predict product properties : thanks to the widely deployed quality solutions, you will have access to a huge amount data to develop advanced quality models and make correlation between process and defect or product properties. These models will contribute to speed-up the resolution of quality crisis and improve product quality management.
• Develop new digital services in relation with product quality : you will play a key role in elevating our product quality by actively gathering customer insights and needs. Your contributions will directly influence the development of new digital services that answer to our clients' requirements, driving innovation and excellence in our offerings.
• Steer Development Initiatives: you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to steer the evolution of existing solutions to meet new customer expectations or to support new product developments or to integrate new sensors. Your ability to synthesize feedback and translate it into actionable strategies will be key to our success.

Your profile:

• Master degree (engineer, quality management)
• Experience in quality management ideally in a sector related to industry or R&D
• Knowledge of instrumentation, information systems and data science.
• Analytical skills and critical thinking, rigor and logic.
• Eager to develop competencies in steel making process, product quality, quality modelling
• Team work, ability to communicate and share knowledge among stakeholders
• Project Management

About the Team

Dans ce contexte, vous travaillerez pour le centre de recherche Maizières Process situé à Maizières-lès-Metz (France) dont la mission principale est de contribuer à la compétitivité et à la durabilité des lignes de production d'ArcelorMittal par le développement ou l'amélioration de procédés innovants ou de voies de transformation (de la sidérurgie au revêtement métallique). Les objectifs du laboratoire répondent aux besoins de nos usines (traitement des minéraux, exploitations en amont de l'acier, opérations en aval de l'acier, qualité des produits, problèmes transversaux). Maizières Process est en mesure d'offrir de nouvelles technologies, des solutions standard, des assistances techniques et un renforcement des connaissances.
