We are recruiting a User Experience (UX) Director Consumer Science & Product Superiority to join our UX global team. Danone's mission is to bring health through food to as many people as possible, and we believe that only delicious food experience will engage people towards healthier food habit. UX is a key function within Research & Innovation that transforms consumer and sensory insights into Product design levers to create product experience that consumer love. As we don't take our product's value for granted, we assess through the product superiority program that consumers prefer our products compared to our industry peers.

Our ambition is to raise our game on product design and consumer experience and deliver differentiating healthy food which will excite all the senses, cue our brands and benefits and increase consumer preference

We work in a multi-disciplinary business environment, We partner with leading edge scientists and agencies. This role will help Future-fit and deploy consumer science expertise, drive the Product Superiority program and the UX digitalization transformation across our business. You will lead the consumer science capability and build a strong and motivated team that can make a difference. In this role you will inspire, provoke, and enable transformational action to be taken from the product superiority and digitalization programs. This will require you to provide clear and actionable recommendations that will drive business growth to senior business partners.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive product Superiority program for R&I worldwide, with the best consumer methodologies, tools for reporting and clear KPI - ensure methodologies deployment across regions and collaborate very strongly with key stakeholders to leverage insights.
  • Lead consumer science team: deliver fundamental consumer insights and activate in the categories projects to guide the medium and long-term innovation projects for the global brands
  • Lead UX digitalization roadmap (UX data ownership, design tools to analyse and leverage meta-learnings from database, pilot AI new tools for consumer insights.
  • Future fit teams and talent: develop upskilling programs and grow a pipeline of talented consumer scientists
  • Co-build UX function strategy as part of UX board
  • Lead portfolio management for UX global team - (manage UX project portfolio to prioritize resources vs strategic priorities )
  • Lead the animation of the global UX community through regular meetings or webinar

MAIN INTERACTIONS/STAKEHOLDERS
  • Direct report to VP UX, management of a team of 8 p, animation of UX community worldwide (120 p)
  • Governance: Member of the UX Board, active member of the R&I extended leadership team
  • Ecosystem: UX community (Global UX & Zones/country ), R&I Categories team, Global Marketing & SIA (CMI), Quality, C&P, data management, IT and IRO (project governance)

About You

We are looking for a candidate with strength in both behaviours but also functional capability as below, as you will shape the future of User Experience at Danone.

EXPERIENCE

-A minimum of 15 years of experience in consumer research field with a successful track record in leading teams. Strong knowledge of consumer research methodologies and a high ability to drive strategic insights.

-Excellent ability to structure, organize knowledge and data, analyze and synthesize complex information often from varied sources.

-Forward-looking & strategic vision. Passion for consumer -inspired by innovation, relentless curiosity for science to impact health through food

-Leadership, strong influence & communication skills. Cross-functional team management and collaboration

-Multi layer relationship management, as the UX team is at the juncture between the consumer, the business and innovation leadership.
