Job Description:

WHAT - Summary & Purpose of the Position

The Digital Communications Manager supports Ipsen's global digital engagement efforts by contributing to brand awareness, corporate reputation, and audience engagement. As part of the Global Corporate Affairs team, this role ensures the relevance, consistency, and impact of Ipsen's digital ecosystem-including the corporate website and social media platforms. With a focus on external engagement, the role is responsible for managing and executing digital content and campaigns that enhance Ipsen's visibility and credibility.

This position requires a blend of digital expertise and cross-functional collaboration. The Digital Communications Manager will leverage analytics, SEO, and emerging digital trends to optimise content performance and audience engagement. The role also provides digital best practices to internal stakeholders across different divisions, ensuring alignment and consistency in Ipsen's global digital presence. With global exposure, the role involves close collaboration with teams across Ipsen's affiliates and global hubs in Paris, Boston, and London, ensuring a locally relevant yet globally cohesive digital presence.

WHAT - Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies
  • Support the content development workflow and contribute to the management of the social media editorial calendar.
  • Manage and engage with Ipsen's online community across social media platforms, ensuring timely responses and interactions aligned with the brand's voice and values.
  • Edit, publish, and optimise content across Ipsen's corporate website (Ipsen.com), owned social media channels, and internal email platforms, ensuring consistency and alignment with communication priorities.
  • Monitor and analyse content performance using analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations to enhance content strategy and audience engagement.
  • Work with agencies and internal teams to support the planning and execution of global paid media campaigns.
  • Assist and support affiliates in aligning with brand guidelines and effectively localising and leveraging global content for regional audiences.
  • Ensure compliance by monitoring owned channels, supporting PV (pharmacovigilance) reporting processes, and implementing Ipsen's social media governance policies.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and emerging digital innovations, helping Ipsen enhance its online presence and engagement strategies.
  • Promote and enforce Ipsen's Digital Guidelines, ensuring employees understand and adhere to social media and content best practices.

HOW - Knowledge & Experience

Knowledge & Experience (essential):
  • 2-3 years of experience in content creation, digital marketing, or social media management in an agency or in-house environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and digital communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and platforms.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint and WordPress Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Hands-on experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube for corporate use.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Campaign or similar email marketing platforms.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Knowledge & Experience (preferred):
  • Understanding of the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry and its regulatory environment.
  • Experience in a global or multi-market role, working across different regions or cultures.

Education / Certifications (essential):
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.

Education / Certifications (preferred):
  • Additional training or certification in digital marketing, analytics, or content strategy could be a plus.

Language(s) (essential):
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken).
  • Fluent in French (written & spoken).
