Safety Systems Manager

VCLS is seeking a talented and experienced Safety Systems Manager to join our team. As a Safety Systems Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety systems, processes, and technologies at VCLS, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving continuous improvement in safety management. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of safety systems and processes, including pharmacovigilance systems, safety databases, and signal detection tools.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, guidelines, and best practices related to safety systems and pharmacovigilance.
  • Lead the development and implementation of safety data exchange agreements with external partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate safety signals and risks.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding safety system requirements and processes.
  • Manage safety system vendors and contractors, ensuring timely delivery of services and adherence to quality standards.
  • Lead and participate in safety system audits and inspections.
  • Monitor and report on key safety system performance indicators and metrics.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in safety systems and pharmacovigilance.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of safety systems and processes through the implementation of best practices and innovative approaches.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety systems management or pharmacovigilance.
  • Strong knowledge of safety systems and pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience with safety databases and signal detection tools.
  • Excellent understanding of drug safety processes and risk management principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and global team environment.
  • Prior experience in managing safety system audits and inspections is preferred.
