Technical Center Manager

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and grow the Tech Center and be responsible for the profitable use of the Tech Center.
• Define (in cooperation with the Managing Director and Sales) the strategic development plan and manage its implementation in the technical teams.
• Implement the skill area processes and standards for tools, methods, as well as skills and know-how transfer.
• Ensure the implementation of global PTE-specific strategic initiatives and support local and global sales.
• Participate in TCM Meetings and make active contributions to global management working groups.
• Work in very close cooperation with the Managing Director and the Sales Director of the affiliate.
• Build up local capability and capacity in alignment with local and AVL global strategies.
• Operationally cooperate with the Morocco ECM (Engineering Center Manager) and activities in Romania.
• Support local and global sales.
• Support the implementation of global PTE strategies and contribute to PTE strategy development: Provide information about local market trends and OEM customer expectations, provide competitor & legislative information on a regular basis.
• Apply corporate tools & processes in sales, planning, and execution.
• Continuously monitor and improve Tech Center efficiency.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Minimum Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field
• More than 15 in the field of engineering
• More than 10 years' experience in team leadership and/or execution of large and complex projects
• Profound technical knowledge in automotive development
• Good business acumen: able to understand various business situations and interest in global business development
• Understanding of market needs
• Confidence in in-house and customer contacts, good networking skills and customer orientation
• Highly developed intercultural competence
• Excellent communication skills both in French and English
• Proven teamwork and leadership skills
• Result orientation and self-management skills
• International experience
• Willingness to travel
