Our division: Platform Excellence, Test Systems & Customer Services

We hold strategic missions around two pillars: Test Systems and IT Service Continuity.

Our mission on Amadeus Test Systems is to set and implement standards, as well as ensuring operations around the stability, performance and customer experience on Amadeus Test and Training systems. Developing software solutions for the operations and monitoring of the Amadeus Tests Systems is part of our responsibilities.

On the IT Service Continuity side, we ensure the governance of the resiliency of the Amadeus products in Production, through availability management and disaster recovery systems.

This mission gets a special taste with the current challenges and opportunities brought by the current migration of the entire Amadeus infrastructure to the Public Cloud, on Microsoft Azure. Another top project is New Gen Altea (NGA), or Amadeus Retailing Platform, based on Cloud Native , which will eventually replace the Altea suite of applications.

Our team : Test Systems and IT Service Continuity : Governance & Architecture

We are accountable for the consistency, improvement and evolution of the test systems and IT Service Continuity processes. We ensure that those evolutions, which includes the move to the Public Cloud and New Gen Altea (NGA) integrate all aspects and positively impact the quality of service, the cost to operate, enforcing security and defining governance.

The team manages transverse IT projects from defining solutions to implementation. We drive the process governance, define the solutions, the IT architecture and communication to enable a high level of service for internal users, operators, and customers.

Based in Nice, France and Erding, Germany, as technical project managers, solution managers or architects, we work in close cooperation with a Bangalore counterpart, and in partnership with many stakeholders, such as customers, application/platform architects, Quality assurance and R&D, tooling teams, implementation specialists, product managers and incident managers.

Job Purpose

The Test Systems/IT Service Continuity Technical Project Manager
  • manages transversal projects in an IT environment, in close collaboration with the team's architects
  • the projects define solutions and drive evolutions around the IT Service Continuity and Test systems areas
  • this includes technical evolutions such as security and privacy compliance, migration to public cloud, native cloud system development, test system datasets, disaster recovery systems, availability management.
  • manages interactions with the Amadeus agile SAFE organizations, as Epic Owner, by participation to LPM (Lean Portfolio Management) meetings

These transversal projects have good visibility (Public Cloud Migration Program, Security Office, strategic transversal projects). You will interact with other project managers, application and platform managers, senior architects, QA managers, up to VP level.

Standard Project Management Key accountabilities
  • Ensure project management from kick-off to closure
  • Drive the definition of solutions with all stakeholders
  • Ensure Project is on track (scope/cost/plan) and manage deviation through change management
  • Manage key events (Core Team, steering committee, dedicated workshops)
  • Provide clear visibility to Steering Committee members and facilitate decision.
  • Secure timely delivery of applicable project deliverables, by interfacing the Safe organizations
  • In certain cases, monitor the budget

Education & Work experience
  • Strong experience and education in IT
  • Good knowledge of R&D environment (architecture, products, processes)
  • Strong Project Management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous experience in transversal project management and coordination activities, in collaboration with multiple entities and sites.
  • 7 years of experience
