Job Summary
The Global Tier 1 Category Manager is responsible for securing approval for high-level global PSS plans and budgets, aligning them with organizational priorities, and creating a comprehensive GTM/PSS scorecard with associated metrics, goals, and benchmarks. The role also leads cross-functional and cross-organizational teams to develop and execute product introduction plans globally. Additionally, the role oversees global marketing operations, develops customer segmentation strategies, and partners with sales senior management to strengthen relationships and drive sales.
Responsibilities
• Develops and secures approval for high-level global PSS plans and budgets on a global scale, aligning them with organizational priorities.
• Leads cross-functional, cross-organizational teams and agencies in the development and execution of introduction plans.
• Develops and owns a comprehensive GTM scorecard/dashboard, including associated metrics, goals, and benchmarks.
• Leads the development of closed-loop post-analysis for marketing programs, and identifies and executes indicated actions.
• Develops and defines customer segmentation strategies at a global scale, tailoring PSS experiences to different customer segments.
• Oversees global marketing operations activities, as needed, like CRM update, accrual management, collateral fulfillment etc.
• Assists in the development of advanced sales training materials to empower the sales team.
• Partners with sales senior management in retailer/reseller account calls/development to strengthen relationships and drive sales.
• Provides mentorship and guidance to lower-level employees, thus, ensuring the realization of operational and strategic plans.
Product :
Manage Gen to Gen transition (accelerate transition for cost reason or manage config) for Farming accounts
Manage any tactical and strategic component move (example : move all EB8 G1i ARL / 800 G11 MTL to EB8 G1i LNL)
Product and Process subject matter expert (between GBU to WW Cat. to Market Cat. to Pricing...)
Train sales team on Product Roadmap, Gen to Gen transition and Product positioning
Be the SME for Sales team on any Product Category engagement Manage regular communication (email, SharePoint, ...) with sales team to animate
Business Management :
Interact with WW Cat. business management team
Work on hunting list in partnership with GT1 team, update the list on a regular basis and share with WW category
Support the process (with Sales team) to reach to the Price to win and in collaboration with Pricing team for scrubbing, funding, configs optimization
Support margin recovery actions Support investments for GT1 - LTP
Co- Prepare and support game plans
Co-manage MOR Manage MWD process with WW Category
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in product marketing, product design, or a related field.
