Your Purpose

We are seeking a Piping Network Machinery & Hotel professional to support the piping inspection, commissioning of hull piping networks, and supporting the catering department and USPH. This role plays a key part in ensuring the quality and readiness of hull piping systems and finishes, including revision of drawings and procedures, onboard inspections for construction and testing of hull piping networks, commissioning of the systems, and collaboration with disciplines of HVAC, machinery, catering, deck and safety and USPH.

Your Impact

• Participates in the execution of planned/assigned inspections in coordination with the team, and shipyard representatives. Ensure inspections are carried out according to schedule and aligned with project milestones.
• Performs regular walkthrough inspections of outfitting works related to: Pipe fabrication and preservation, Equipment installation, Interferences with other disciplines, Performance of the installation according to builder standard and marine regulations, Installation of piping on public space areas performed by outfitting companies and Verification of compliance of VSP, related with piping and equipment installation.
• Ensures that all works are executed in full compliance with: Approved technical specifications, Construction and detailed drawings, Installation and testing procedures, Applicable safety regulations and quality standards
• Prepares detailed weekly inspection reports, construction progress, deviations, and technical findings
• Tracks and follow up on outstanding non-conformities related to piping systems and interfacing disciplines. Coordinate with the Lead Managers and relevant stakeholders to ensure timely closure and documentation of corrective actions
• Supports the drafting and update of the Protocol of Delivery (PoD), clearly highlighting unresolved issues, potential risks, and priority actions to be addressed before vessel handover or immediately after ship's delivery
• Contributes to lessons learned activities by identifying recurring construction issues or warranty claims from previous vessels, with the goal of preventing reoccurrence in ongoing and future projects
• Maintains ongoing communication with the Lead Managers, Site team, shipyard representatives, and classification societies to support progress and completion of activities in line with delivery targets. This includes daily interface with internal departments and participation to daily and weekly alignment meetings.

Your Journey so far

• In-depth knowledge of piping activities, including materials and fittings specifications, welding process, evaluate new materials or technologies, construction standard, installation, testing, flushing, pre-commissioning activities and commissioning in coordination with other disciplines involved. Ability to interpret and apply technical specifications, installation drawings, and construction procedures
• Familiarity with international maritime regulations (e.g., SOLAS, USPH, IACS, MARPOL, class rules) and their practical application in ship construction. Ability to verify compliance and raise non-conformities when required.
• Solid experience in performing inspections, recording findings, and verifying that works are executed in compliance with approved technical documentation. Ability to prepare detailed inspection reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ability to assess on-site challenges and deviations, propose effective technical solutions, and support issue resolution in a time-sensitive construction environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including engineers, planners, subcontractors, and classification society representatives.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple inspection and follow-up activities in a fast-paced shipyard environment, particularly during key project milestones (e.g., sea trials, delivery preparation).
• Strong focus on precision and quality, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving defects before handover.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). Ability to work with inspection tracking tools and digital reporting systems is a plus.

• The existing right to live and work in the EU.
• Fluency in English, knowledge of Italian or French is a plus.
