As a SCADA/EMS Systems Engineer, you will:
- Support the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the EMS/AEMS platform (including SCADA, State Estimation, Contingency Analysis, Power Flow Analysis, HTC, and AGC functionalities).
- Execute system integration, SUV testing, and customer-specific customizations on EMS platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and efficient system performance across transmission and distribution electrical grids.
- Provide remote diagnostics, monitoring, and technical support for the EMS platform.
- Interface with customers to troubleshoot and resolve complex SCADA and EMS-related issues.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in SCADA/EMS systems, including AEMS platforms like E-Terra.
- Hands-on experience with installation, maintenance, or support of EMS/SCADA systems.
- Proficiency in SCADA communication protocols such as DNP3, IEC 104, IEC 61850, and Modbus.
- Technical knowledge of electrical grid operations (Transmission & Distribution).
- Strong experience in Linux, Windows, Oracle, SQL, and SCADA modeling tools.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, network troubleshooting, DNS, routing, Active Directory, firewalls, and switches.
- Fluency in French and English (verbal and written) is required.
You should possess the ability to:
- Independently analyze and resolve EMS-related issues with minimal supervision.
- Communicate effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
- Maintain composure and a positive attitude in high-pressure situations.
- Apply analytical reasoning to diagnose and troubleshoot complex system behaviors.
- Demonstrate understanding of NERC CIP standards and security/compliance guidelines.
- Set an example in terms of work ethic, technical consistency, and professional standards.
