We are looking for a highly innovative and passionate senior engineer to join our systems enablement team that is developing solutions for next generation industrial and IoT systems.

Your team will approach the market from a system and use case perspective to address key design challenges our customers are facing. This will require an in-depth understanding of customer systems and applications. As system-level experts, the team will expect you to be very hands-on with NXP board support packages (Linux, FreeRTOS, Zephyr) and our i.MX hardware.

Your Responsibilities:

• Define and support the development of system solutions for industrial and IoT segment using i.MX
• Define solutions architectures, hands on development on critical drivers and customer KPIs
• Direct engagement with open source Linux/Zephyr community
• Direct customer interactions to understand their use cases and develop NPI validation system use cases to measure and report against customer KPIs
• Work with business lines to launch segment-level development platforms and solutions for applications such as factory programmable logic controllers (PLC), motor control and drive systems, information systems (Industrial HMI), robot systems, metering, and connectivity
• Contribute market-specific knowledge and customer feedback to the validation of innovative new microprocessor and microcontroller products, technology and solutions for all NXP business lines.
• Track and ensure execution of your plans, while clearly communicating changes to customers and internal teams. Drive corrective actions where needed.

Your profile:

• Bachelor of Engineering or Science degree
• Development experience with Linux drivers and understanding of upstreaming in Linux and/or Zephyr community
• 10 years of embedded development
• Knowledge of microcontroller or processor architecture, circuit schematics, and embedded software
• Knowledge of video interfaces, ISP, NPUs, networking is considered a plus
• Experience engaging with customers or partners who develop products based on embedded microcontrollers or processors
• Excellent written and oral communications
• Detail and action oriented
