Senior Manager, Engineering - Hotel IT

As a Senior Manager of Engineering, you will lead the Reservations, Inventory, and Reporting department within Hospitality CRS. The mission of the department is to drive the development and operations of a highly-available, secure, and easy-to-use Reservations management system, including Inventory Management and Reporting platform.

You will be expected to lead teams and Managers focused from design to release, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high software engineering standards.

About the team

As Senior Manager, you would be responsible for a department of around 70 professionals across the Engineering family (software developers, product definition analysts, quality assurance, etc.). The team is spread across Europe and India.

Accountabilities
  • Responsible for the performance and delivery of multiple units; Manages teams and Managers.
  • Devise department strategy and plans, organize resource allocation activities, and set collaborative goals for the department; build towards the organization's development roadmaps and lead teams towards ensuring successful and timely delivery.
  • Drive adoption of software engineering best practices to maintain high software engineering standards and non-functional requirements (security, reliability, maintainability, scalability, usability, performance).
  • Partner with Program, Product, Solution, and Information Security departments to design solutions, helping in decision-making towards delivering product capabilities and customer requirements.

About our ideal candidate
  • Solid engineering background with understanding of complex applications & architecture, best practices, and other non-functional requirements.
  • Previous experience managing managers & large departments across engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with Enterprise-level cloud-based applications.
  • Comfortable working directly with enterprise-level customers.
  • Demonstrated skills in defining & executing strategy, innovation, quality & timely deliverables, mitigating and resolving issues.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
