Cloud Platform Engineering Teams

As a future Digital Giant, Decathlon needs to build solid foundations for its services. The Cloud Platform Engineering (CPE), a collaborative initiative launched in 2020, aims to address this need.

CPE spans all Decathlon domains and countries. It consists of teams focused on Developer Experience, providing technical infrastructure solutions to accelerate development and ensure the stability/scalability of our applications, Networks, Observability, and FinOps.

Its main objectives are to streamline the catalog of technical products referenced within the group and to provide "turnkey" services for application teams, allowing them to concentrate on developing value-added features. Offering a simplified suite will enable a stronger focus on deepening the use of these solutions. Our goal is also to create a common expertise base to facilitate movements and interactions between teams.

Today, CPE is a Business Unit of nearly 140 people who continue to strengthen and work hand-in-hand with the teams in each domain.

We are committed to delivering exceptional network services that support our global operations. As we expand, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Network Operations Center (NOC) team.

Role Overview:

The Engineering Manager for the NOC team will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Network Operations Center, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our network infrastructure. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background in network engineering and operations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage and mentor a team of network engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and mentor the NOC team to ensure 24/7 operational excellence.Oversee network monitoring, incident management, and service restoration activities.Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network projects and initiatives.Ensure network performance, reliability, and security standards are met.Analyze network performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for network services and equipment.Prepare and present reports on network performance and incidents to senior management.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the NOC remains at the forefront of network operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.7+ years of experience in network engineering and operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, and technologies (e.g., Dynamic Routing, SDWAN, VPN, Public Clouders like GCP, AWS, Cloudflare, Zscaler, Fortinet).Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Datadog, SolarWinds, Grafana).Proven track record in incident management and problem resolution.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CCNP, CISSP ) are highly desirable.
