POSITION SUMMARY
The Salesforce Architect and Senior System Administrator will manage the development of our grants and donor management system: Salesforce. The successful candidate will have a record of success in improving processes and adoption using a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform and financial systems working collaboratively with a team. The administrator will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject-matter experts to identify, develop and deploy new business processes.
This role is part technical project manager, part administrator, and part systems architect. The Salesforce Architect and Senior Administrator System Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day support and administration of our key system with an ability to use case queues to both respond to and develop knowledge base resources to enable continued improvements in service quality. The Administrator must be organized and able to differentiate between high- and low-priority issues.

COMPENSATION
This is a full-time position. The target salary for this position is $139,500 for a candidate based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and $126,000 for candidates in other areas of the U.S. EF provides a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, vision, disability, and retirement benefits and paid time off.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel one to two times a year for three to four business days at a time.

The office environments include some shared workspace, some individual offices, and shared kitchen facilities, with moderate noise levels and a collegial atmosphere. On occasion, there are activities or events after work hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary administrator of our grants and donor management system: Salesforce.
- Handle all administrative functions, including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, troubleshooting, workflows, and other routine tasks.
- Implement projects independently and in collaboration with consultants-design, configure, test, and deploy.
- Create and manage all documentation for Salesforce, including process documentation, ERD, and internal knowledge base.
- Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades.
- Manage Salesforce integrations and third-party applications in collaboration with consultants and IT colleagues-Okta, DocuSign, Box, NetSuite, Workato.
- Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests.
- Create and manage the Salesforce project roadmap in collaboration with the core project team.
- Design and manage security model and data management tools and protocols, including backup system.
- Coordinate user access reviews every quarter.
- Effectively act as the liaison between our users, vendors, and consultants in order to drive projects forward.
- Work independently within a multicultural user community to define and document needs and development requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and training
- At least 5 years of experience in system administration
- Admin certification in Salesforce
Technical competence
- Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on SaaS-based systems and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes.
- Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, deconstruct high-level information into details, abstract-up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Project management
- Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upward.
- Service- and solutions-oriented, collaborative problem-solver who is at home in a diverse, dynamic, complex environment.
- Detail oriented and able to handle change management and prioritize in often quickly changing environments.
