DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

The PMI Manager plays a pivotal role in facilitating and overseeing the seamless integration of acquired entities into the existing organizational structure. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, strong project management skills, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the successful alignment of business operations, systems, processes, and culture.

The PMI Manager serves as a central point of contact for integration activities, working closely with stakeholders to drive alignment, manage risks, and achieve integration goals to drive synergy realization and maximize the value of acquisition.

As the PMI Manager you will look after these topics:

  1. Integration Planning and Strategy:
    • Develop comprehensive integration plans and strategies tailored to the specific needs and objectives of each acquisition for the seamless integration of acquired entities into the existing organizational structure
    • Collaborate with executive leadership, M&A teams, and functional leaders to define integration objectives, priorities, and timelines.
    • Conduct thorough assessments of integration challenges, risks, and opportunities, and develop mitigation strategies accordingly.
  2. Project Management:
    • Lead cross-functional integration teams to execute integration plans effectively and efficiently.
    • Develop detailed project plans, milestones, and timelines to guide integration activities and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to keep integration projects on track and within budget.
  3. Functional Integration:
    • Coordinate with functional leaders (e.g., finance, HR, IT, operations) to integrate acquired entities into existing processes, systems, and policies.
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and synergy realization to drive operational efficiency and value creation post-merger.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the integration process.
  4. Communication and Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for integration-related inquiries and updates.
    • Facilitate clear and transparent communication between stakeholders, including executive leadership, employees, and external partners.
    • Manage expectations and address concerns to maintain alignment and engagement throughout the integration process.
  5. Change Management:
    • Develop and implement change management strategies to minimize resistance and foster a culture of collaboration and alignment during the integration process.
    • Provide guidance and support to employees affected by organizational changes, addressing concerns and promoting a smooth transition
  6. Performance Measurement and Reporting:
    • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the success of integration initiatives.
    • Regularly track and report on integration progress, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
    • Use data-driven insights to refine integration strategies and optimize future integration efforts.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The ideal PMI Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience (6-8 years) in project management, mergers and acquisitions, or related roles, with a focus on post-merger integration.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage complex, multifaceted projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute integration strategies that drive business growth and value creation.
  • Sound decision-making abilities, with a focus on problem-solving and conflict resolution in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
