Who You Are:
You are passionate about satellite control operations. You want to participate in the development of the satellite control centre team through training, assist in their man-management, and organize the SCC facilities and operational activities in the control centre to ensure that the operations maximise efficiency whilst guaranteeing satellite safety and a high-quality customer service.
What You'll Do:
Ensure efficient training of the SCC controller team. This involves the analysis, design and execution of training courses and maintenance of the training facilities and documentation.
Management of all planned control centre/ground system activities to optimise the use of SCC resources (human and facilities) and perform conflict resolution.
Assistance to the man-management activities of the SCC controller team when on (and off) shift work.
Specification of requirements and participation in the design and validation of all control centre software and hardware related to controller operations.
Co-ordination of, and participation in, proposals for quality improvement in procedures, processes and tools needed for the reliable safe operation of the Eutelsat fleet.
What it Takes:
Higher technical qualification in space engineering or related field
Minimum 8 year-experience of in-orbit satellite control
Cross-disciplinary understanding of satellite/ground system design and operations to be able to provide training to the satellite controllers
Self-motivated and rigorous with excellent planning and co-ordination skills for satellite control operations
Able to work autonomously in the definition and specification of SCC operational interfaces
Management and leadership skills to deputize in the absence of the SCC operations manager
Able to handle multiple tasks and priorities under pressure and to work in a constantly evolving and dynamic environment
Desire to work as part of an international team
Excellent knowledge of one of the official languages of the Eutelsat group (English or French) and good knowledge of the other
