ABOUT INSTITUT MINES-TELECOM :

The Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT) is a public institution dedicated to higher education and research for innovation in the fields of engineering and digital technology. MISSIONS:

In the field of networks and cloud:
- Participate in the design, coordination, and implementation of teaching at Télécom SudParis in networks and cloud within the school's various programs, the continuing education programs of the Institut Mines-Télécom, and co-accredited programs with the Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
- Conduct research, innovation, and develop contractual relationships in the field of AIOps (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations), applied to the management and control of digital assets (physical and virtual digital resources, future networks, deployment and monitoring).
- Develop partnerships, collaborations, and contractual relations in the field.
- Be an active member of the SAMOVAR laboratory and the NeSS team.
ACTIVITIES:

Teaching activities:
- Deliver and organize lectures and tutorials on networks, virtualization, and machine learning for networks, for core and specialized courses, in the engineering program for both student status and apprentice status.
- Participate in continuing education.
- Supervise and tutor students: student projects, internships, thesis defenses, etc.
- Participate in selection interview panels for candidates (engineering program, specialized master's) to help recruit new students.

Research activities:
- Lead and conduct basic and applied research in AIOps (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations), applied to the management and control of digital assets (physical and virtual digital resources, future networks, deployment and monitoring), addressing related properties such as performance evaluation and management, system and network resilience, safety and security, and digital frugality. This includes leading industrial or collaborative projects, as well as supervising PhD students and platform engineers.
- Contribute to the development of the high-speed experimental platform hosted at Télécom SudParis.
- Maintain an academic publication record compatible with integration into the SAMOVAR laboratory within the NeSS team.
- Initiate and participate in projects involving external partners of the Institut Mines-Télécom, academia, or industry, especially within national or European funding frameworks.

Formation

• Doctorat obtenu ou en cours d'obtention (date de soutenance prévue avant le 31 décembre 2025).
• Expérience significative en enseignement et en recherche au sein d'un laboratoire académique ou industriel
• Expérience au sein de deux équipes de recherche différentes démontrée au travers de publications

Compétences, connaissances et expériences indispensables

• Les compétences recherchées couvriront en partie les thématiques suivantes :
  
  • Les réseaux
  • Le Machine Learning pour les réseaux et pour l'AIOps
  • Les services cloud
• Publications significatives, y compris au niveau international compatible avec une intégration dans le laboratoire SAMOVAR
• Expérience pédagogique en enseignement supérieur
• Expérience dans la réalisation de contrats européens ou nationaux
• Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais professionnel (écrit/oral)
• Connaissance des enjeux scientifiques et des laboratoires de la discipline au niveau national et international
• Participation à l'animation de la communauté scientifique (comités de programme, organisation d'événements, ...)

Compétences, connaissances et expériences souhaitables

• Expérience internationale d'au moins deux ans (doctorat, post-doc ou équivalent)
• Expérience d'au moins deux ans en enseignement et en recherche
• Connaissance des technologies de l'information et de la communication
