About the job
A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
The Global Sustainability team enables Google to build a more sustainable future for everyone by driving strategy and solutions. We drive the development and implementation of Google's global sustainability strategy to further empower action, ensure alignment and prioritization, identify leadership opportunities, and mitigate risks. We drive sustainability strategy and programs on carbon, circular economy, water, product integration, reporting, and employee engagement, while serving as a sustainability leadership advocate internally and externally.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience working on industrial development.
- Experience working as a technical program manager, on utility infrastructure projects like water supply.
- Experience with infrastructure risk management.
- Experience in working with both engineering and commercial teams.
- Experience with utility procurement.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Sustainable Infrastructure, or similar certification.
- Experience working across multiple European countries.
- Understanding of business environments in the Middle East, or Asia Pacific (APAC) regions.
- Ability to independently develop data-driven technical insights and translate into executable commercial solutions.
