We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Lead to establish and lead a new engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining foundational services that enable and accelerate the work of all other engineering teams in the Magillem organization and beyond.

Major activitie(s)

• As a Technical Manager, you will play a critical role in defining the architecture, standards, and processes that support the assembly and integration of complex System-on-Chips (SoCs).
• This is a unique opportunity to shape the core technical infrastructure of a rapidly evolving organization at the forefront of SoC development.
• This role requires some understanding of semiconductor design and integration and the ability to drive architectural decisions and software design for complex software systems.

Nature and scope of responsibilities

Team Management & Leadership
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team focused on infrastructure services.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that prioritizes quality, reliability, and customer experience.

Architecture and Design
• Define and maintain the architecture for infrastructure services, ensuring scalability, performance and reusability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across the organization to identify requirements and align solutions with business and internal needs.
• Establish reusable patterns, best practices, and coding standards to ensure consistency and maintainability.

Development and Delivery
• Design and implement core services, libraries, APIs, and developer tooling to support SoC assembly and integration workflows.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of infrastructure services, including planning, development, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Ensure the architecture and codebase are well-documented, maintainable, and comply with industry standards.
• Drive continuous improvements in the efficiency and reliability of engineering processes

Internal/external working relationships

• Act as the primary technical liaison between the Infrastructure team and other engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration and adoption of solutions.
• Partner with the various stakeholders to define roadmaps, priorities, and deliverables.
• Advocate for and implement solutions that improve developer productivity and cross-team collaboration.

Experience Requirements / Qualifications (technical & skills)

• 8+ years of industry experience in the software and/or semiconductor industry with at least 2 years of team leading experience
• Strong expertise in software programming languages such as Java, C++ or Python.
• Strong background in software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Knowledge of hardware RTL design and verification languages (VHDL, Verilog, SystemC, SystemVerilog) would be welcome.
• Understanding of XML IP-XACT standard for the design of IP for integrated circuits would be a plus.
• Good understanding agile development methodologies.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Curiosity, results-oriented mindset, and rigor.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• Fluent French and English
