Big Data & Security (BDS) division of Eviden is the market leader in Europe on servers and super-computers segments, recognized as well for its innovations in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity and Quantum. Our customers are buying High Performance Computers (HPC) to study the climate change, find vaccines, work on decarbonization, or run scientific simulations.
The software R&D of BDS is based out of 5 countries, including multiple sites in France and the newly built European Research Laboratory, located in Grenoble.
The Software Factory team is transversal to the R&D group. It has the responsibility to develop and operate (DevOps) a complete stack of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) for the software development teams in charge of HPC and AI products. Today, the platform is running more than 500 builds per week on a hybrid infrastructure shared between public cloud and our internal lab, ensuring a fully automated software production. The platform, the tools, and the processes should be constantly modernized, adapted and the users educated, to leverage the new capabilities and improve the CI/CD practices.
We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to take in charge the future improvements on our platform.
Missions:
As a member of Software Factory team, you take the responsibility of the design, the development, and the deployment in production of new capabilities offered to our organization. You will influence and support the modernization of the DevOps infrastructure for the BDS R&D department (process, deployment, packaging, etc.)
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering CICD tools
- Improving and maintaining existing services and the related Infrastructure as Code assets
- Evangelizing and helping our users to integrate the services in their CI/CD flows and guiding them to improve their practice.
Your profile:
We are looking for an experienced engineer naturally attracted by innovation:
- Curious, organized, and open-minded
- Looking for new professional challenges,
- Known for your team spirit, natural leadership and proactive
- Your are fluent in technical English
- You have a strong experience in DevOps and Cloud technologies:
•A strong knowledge of Cloud computing, ideally GCP,
• A confirmed expertise with Infrastructure as code
• A good knowledge of containers technology, and containers orchestration, such as Kubernetes
• A good knowledge of Linux and network at system level
• Familiar with Agile methodologies
We will be even more interested by your application if:
• You can read and write Python classes
• You already developed Jenkins pipelines or GitHub workflows
• You already administered services in production
• You have an experience in Security (vulnerabilities scan, cloud security, ...)
