DevOps Engineer - Observability/Logging/SplunkBusiness Environment

While moving to the public cloud, the logging solution is being re-invented around Splunk, one of the leading industry solutions for collecting and analyzing data coming from various sources.

Logs being of vital importance for our internal customers investigation and mean time to recover reduction, we need you to join us to build a cost conscious, automated, scalable, and resilient logging solution based on the Splunk Kubernetes operator.

Log collection or extracting value out of the logs in Splunk are as well part of our mission which makes the logging journey to the cloud a rich and diverse one.

Your Main Responsibilities

Common accountabilities:

• Coaching Splunk users to help them get the most out of it
• Develop automation to manage hundreds of Splunk clusters in Kubernetes
• Splunk administration/operations
• User and technical documentation writing
• Develop and maintain libraries (C++ or Java) and components to interact with Splunk to push/extract data
• Develop tools and processes to optimize costs/performances/user experience and ultimately provide better observability services.

Skills

• Interest in observability, logging, Splunk.
• Communication skills, interest in support activities.
• Kubernetes, HELM.
• Experience with Amadeus logging frameworks/libraries/investigation practices is a plus.
• Automation (Jenkins, ArgoCD). Terraform, Ansible would be a plus.
• Python/Go experience would be a plus.
• Splunk knowledge/experience would be a plus.
• MS Azure knowledge/experience would be a plus.
