Manager, DevOps & Platform Engineering for Reservation
Summary of the role

Reservation is the beating heart of many Amadeus products and this position is also the opportunity to address the company technology challenges: Cloud, FinOps, Cyber-security.

You will manage the team in charge of providing Platform and DevOps services to the Reservation organizations: Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, tooling...
Efficiency, usability, engineering experience, reliability, support are the values of the team towards our internal customers.

You will also actively participate to SAFe Product Owner and Team Coach activities, following a Kanban setup.

You will collaborate actively with the central Reservation teams and stakeholders.

Management and Engagement / Team Coach

• Lead a team of top profiles driving toolchain evolutions, providing consulting and tools and managing the Reservation platform (Kubernetes clusters, Kafka, Datastores)
• The team is cross Amadeus locations with members in France (both in Villeneuve-Loubet and remote) and Germany.
• The team is following a Kanban setup and you will ensure Agile mindset and practices.
• Build/manage the team fostering a collaborative work environment which promotes innovation and empowerment
• Develop the team based on continuous assessment
• Motivate and guide individual team members to stretch and expand their own capabilities (know-how, behavior, communication etc...)
• Define team objectives and translate them into individual objectives for each team member in line with organizational goals
• Evaluate team and individual performance. Provide input for salary reviews
• Perform the interviews to recruit the relevant profiles Ensure maintaining the team spirit
• Support and organize SAFe ceremonies

Product Owner

• Define and share the technical/functional team roadmap and vision with the input of the team members
• Work with the System Architect and Product Manager of the ART
• Has a mid/long-term vision of the activity, influences the department's strategy based on a broad understanding of the environment. Exposed to complex decision making.
• Report on team activities
• Follow ART SAFe JIRA conventions
• Be accountable for the performance and results of a unit within own discipline or function
• Develop plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
• Suggest alternatives / improvements / new techniques in processes, flows, operational models and plans

Collaboration & Communication

• Collaborate with other teams, stakeholders and different profiles
• Ensure timely and appropriate communication to team members regarding company/organization information
• Ensure timely and appropriate communication outside the team as well

Technical Excellence

• Several years of work experience and familiarity with Amadeus technologies (Cloud, OBE), is a plus.
