TRU - TRD - ENG (Engineering) - FOR (Front Office)

Inside Travel Distribution Business Unit, the Engineering organization strives to make our customers successful by delivering flexible and innovative solutions, with short time to market and high quality and technology standards.

The Front Office department delivers web-based solutions to support Travel Agencies business growth and challenges. With more than 400 000 travel agents users worldwide, Selling Platform Connect is the flagship of these solutions and is at the heart of a global platform called REEF that provides modular components to application builders.

Goals and deliverables

We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to:

• Work on the migration of existing applications to cloud compatible technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift)
• Work on the migration of our applications from our private data center to Microsoft Azure public cloud, leveraging on all Microsoft solutions to improve resiliency, response time and operability
• Work on redesigning applications to make them compatible with main cloud principles (distributed data, auto-scaling, low start up time, multi-region...)
• Develop and rollout full Infra-as-code automation based on GitOps paradigm to provision the application on multiple platforms and regions
• Adapt processes to deliver & operate software on the new platform
• Implement new infrastructure paradigms for logging, monitoring, eventing and alerting
• Improve developer experience with relevant tooling for productivity
• Accompany the organization to the DevOps mindset and adapt processes accordingly
• Train the organization to the new tools and processes
• Evaluate Cloud technologies and required evolutions
• Participate in the elaboration of a migration plan
• Share Cloud knowledge to product feature teams
• Participate to the overall public cloud migration development, documentation (Design, Code, Procedures, etc.)
• Participate in incident and problem prioritization, investigation, and fixing

Relevant Skills

We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience in the following skills:

• Strong knowledge of Java, Groovy, Maven, Gradle and Jenkins pipelines
• Strong knowledge of OpenShift, Helm, Docker
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, GitOps, Jenkins pipelines
• Knowledge of Azure public cloud
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in challenging situations.
• Ability to learn new technologies and to implement for prototyping purposes.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Good collaboration mindset and ability to adapt.
• Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment.
