Job Description:
The Design Engineer will be working within our MMIC Design Team at our MACOM European Semiconductor Centre(ESC) located in Limeil-Brévannes. A successful candidate will be responsible for designing new Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMIC) based on the MACOM ESC PHEMT, MHEMT or GaN PDKs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design state of the art MMICs from electrical specifications, following the dedicated procedures
• Generate reports for each milestone of the design process
• Review prototype test data and take design tuning actions if required
• Keep control of the design planning
• Support the application team for the development of the evaluation boards
• Frequent interaction with PDK, Test and Application Teams
Experience and Competencies:
• Two plus years of relevant work experience in the field of high frequency analogue circuit design
• Knowledge of basic electronics (RF, analogue)
• Ability to have a technical discussion in English
• Knowledge MS Excel
• General knowledge of MS Windows operating systems
• Good knowledge of microwave design packages such as Keysight ADS or Cadence AWR
• Good knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools, such as Momentum, HFSS or Axiem
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in French
• English Intermediate level
Minimum Qualifications:
• MS or Dr in Engineering (circuit design and microwave fields preferred)
