Our Infrastructure Debt franchise at Schroders Capital is growing and we are seeking a young professional to join our team in Paris.

As part of Schroders Capital Infrastructure debt, you will assist senior team members in the origination, structuring and execution of infrastructure investments on behalf of institutional investors. We focus on three main investment themes: essential infrastructure, energy transition and digital transformation. You will have the opportunity to work on infrastructure transactions across several sectors, including transportation (roads, airports, seaports), communication (towers, fiber), social (health, education) and renewable energy.

The team

The job will be positioned in the Infrastructure Debt team. Since forming in 2015, Schroders Capital Infrastructure debt has successfully raised and invested over €6bn in senior debt and junior debt, focusing on core European infrastructure assets. The team comprises 27 employees based in Paris and London and is experiencing rapid growth.

What you'll do

As an Investment Analyst, you will apply your expertise in Banking, M&A, Project Finance and/or modelling of infrastructure assets to assist Fund Managers in deal sourcing, structuring and execution. You will be involved in the monitoring of market data, review of complex financial models, participate in due diligence processes, prepare transaction documentation, as well as lead, design and produce presentations, investment memorandums and other analysis for internal (investment and reporting committees) and external audiences (investors).

You will report to and also support the Head of Asset Management & ESG with portfolio management, waiver requests and growing ESG / Sustainability & Impact activities.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
  • Strong academic credentials (master in finance, economics, engineering, law or a related discipline) and corporate finance fundamentals (including cashflow analysis)
  • Young professional with min 0-2 years of experience within Infrastructure Debt or Equity, Project Finance (private markets only), M&A or a directly related industry (Energy, Utilities, Infrastructure).
  • Strong interest in ESG / Sustainability & Impact activities
  • Fluency in French and English

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
  • Proficiency with Excel - prior financial modelling is a strong plus but not required
