Forvis Mazars Global Limited is looking for a dynamic Data and Compliance Manager, who will provide support for the Network while working collaboratively to assist both member firms.

Job Description

This pivotal leadership role marks the transition from managing individual compliance projects to overseeing a broader portfolio of work in the independence department of the Forvis Mazars network. The Manager will lead a team responsible for global compliance tools and data initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and the Network's long-term goals. This includes direct oversight of individuals who support the deployment, analysis, and evolution of independence compliance systems across the organization. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational oversight, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of data and compliance: Oversee and align multiple related projects, including global compliance tool deployment, data quality monitoring, and Key Performance Indicator tracking, to drive strategic outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support team members in roles such as WeCheck Support Analyst and Senior Analysts. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

  • Operational Leadership: Develop and implement procedures and protocols for roles with direct reporting responsibilities. Ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance across teams and projects.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: Address complex challenges related to data integrity, tool functionality, and cross-border collaboration. Apply analytical thinking to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Objective Setting & Delegation: Define clear goals and assignments for both self and team members. Ensure clarity, accountability, and alignment with broader business strategies.
  • Strategic Collaboration:
    Work closely with stakeholders and collaborate across departments, functions and internationally, including compliance, IT, and leadership teams. Initiate or contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance organizational performance and innovation.
  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment efforts to attract, evaluate, and hire top talent for critical roles. Manage the interview process and ensure a positive candidate experience while maintaining alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, data analysis, computer science Information technology or related field
  • At least 5 years' experience in audit in a complex, international firm
  • Understanding of independence standards globally
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting platforms
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional or international teams and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of strategic planning, organizational alignment, compliance, data governance, and project management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and implement operational protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically

Preferred Attributes:
  • Experience in a global or matrixed organization

  • Strong analytical mindset and collaborative spirit
  • Strong leadership presence and influence
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
  • Fluent in French, both written and spoken, but not required
  • Ability to occasionally travel domestically and internationally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Experience with independence standards globally and related risks
  • Project management experience

Additional Information

The preferred location for this position is Paris, France, where most of the team is based. However, alternative locations may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
