After a successful fundraising in 2024 with one of the largest video games investors in the world, Opus Major already gathers an amazing team of 25 people around the world.
Join our Data Analytics team in order to work on our first Opus, a cross-platform, large-scale multiplayer game based on a strong universe. As our second data hire, you will help shape the foundations of our data infrastructure enabling data visualization, advanced analytics outputs, and gameplay insights across teams. You will have the opportunity to innovate, learn, and share. The studio will give you the environment and context to work at the cutting edge of your craft.
Our data team uses Tableau, BigQuery, Vertex AI, and the source project is built on Unreal Engine 5 with a MongoDB database**.**

Required skills and knowledge
- Ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines (batch and/or streaming), including custom API-based integrations with external platforms and marketing data sources.
- Ability to design and maintain automated data workflows using orchestration frameworks (e.g. Airflow, Prefect, or similar).
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks such as data processing, API integrations, and automation.
- Proficiency in SQL, including query optimization and partitioning.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL/ELT practices.
- Understanding of CI/CD workflows for data systems and version-controlled development.
- Familiarity with data lifecycle management, including retention, cold storage, and deletion policies.
- Awareness of cloud-based data architecture, preferably within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Able to work autonomously and partner with team members from different areas of the studio to define and deliver data solutions.
Experience
- 2-3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related roles.
- Experience building and maintaining production data pipelines.
- Experience integrating data systems with machine learning models or LLMs (e.g. model serving or inference pipelines).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Experience interfacing with data visualization tools such as Tableau or equivalent platforms.
A huge plus
- Experience with our tech stack: Tableau, BigQuery, Vertex AI, MongoDB, Unreal Engine 5
- Experience with LLM-based data workflows.
- Understanding of statistical analysis, data modeling, or machine learning concepts, and how they apply to analytics and product decisions.
- Experience implementing or maintaining dbt in production.
- Experience in gaming, interactive media, or player analytics contexts.
- Interest in developing data quality and lineage practices as our data scales.
- Appreciation for games and the stories data can tell!
