Vacancy: Global Data Analyst

International - Location negotiable
Travel requirement: approximately 20% (3-5days/month)

As a Global Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing production performance across our international salmon processing operations. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield, efficiency, and other key performance metrics. Collaborating closely with local production sites and the global processing excellence team, you will transform data into actionable insights that drive factory performance and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand and maintain data models to support standardized KPI calculations and scenario analysis.
  • Perform deep-dive analyses on production trends, costs, and improvement scenarios
  • Train local teams in data tools and methodologies to improve adoption and data literacy.
  • Ensure integrity and consistency of performance data across global systems.
  • Gather, structure, and analyze OEE, yield, and loss data across sites.
  • Conduct comparative analysis across regions and lines to identify best practices.

Main Tasks
  • Collect, validate, and harmonize data from multiple local production systems (e.g., MES, ERP, SCADA)
  • Analyze downtime, yield loss, rework, and throughput efficiency to identify high-impact improvement areas
  • Collaborate with site controllers, production managers, and technical teams
  • Support root cause analysis on production losses, downtimes, and variances
  • Participate in global OEE improvement programs and lean projects
  • Ensure alignment with global data governance, KPI definitions, and reporting standards
  • Provide regular insights and recommendations to senior management and site leads
  • Build and maintain reusable data models to represent production lines, yield calculations, cost drivers, and OEE structures
  • Design scenario simulations (e.g., "what if" models for process changes, equipment upgrades, or yield loss reduction)
  • Support CAPEX justifications through data-driven ROI modelling tied to efficiency or yield improvements
  • Contribute to the design of KPIs and dashboards that drive behavioral change and operational focus

Profile
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in manufacturing or production environments
  • Proficiency in data modeling, visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and statistical analysis
  • Familiarity with industrial systems (MES, ERP, SCADA) and data integration
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cultures and functions
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement is a plus
