ABOUT YOUR ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Head of Data Platform to join FDJ UNITED to help us define,lead the strategic product vision for our data platforms over 3 to 5-year period and operate the data platforms with a dedicated team. You will be the catalyst for our digital growth and innovation by creating a high-performance, scalable platform that meets the needs of our business, data and the IT ecosystem. Core to this transformation is our acceleration towards "Cloud-first analytics" across our businesses and the underlying transition towards Cloud data platforms.

This is a pivotal role where you will align our data platforms with the strategic needs of our data and analytics products. You will play a central role in shaping and deliveling all the data platform services and infrastructure to enable digital growth, and deliver innovative & scalable services for our data analysts, data scientists, and the entire IT ecosystem.

Our hybrid Data platforms are structured into two main service areas available On-Premise and in the Cloud:

• End-User Products: Deploying and operating tools like Power BI for reporting, Dataiku for data science, and Collibra for data governance.

• Core Platform Products: Building he engines for Data and AI processing, ingestion and transformation, as well as cross-functional tools for CI/CD and Cybersecurity. Key technologies include Teradata, Kubernetes, Starburst, Airflow, S3, and AWS services.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will design, build and run our data platforms end-to-end. In details, you will:

• Define the 3 to 5-year vision and strategy for our data platforms (Data, AI, ML, Cloud, DevOps), with a strong focus on a Cloud-first approach to meet the requirements of our user squads (Data product, Analytics product).

• Design the target architecture of the platforms (modularity, scalability, security, governance) in collaboration with the technical architects.

• Lead the multi-year Products roadmaps, focusing on bringing the best value at the right time for the right cost.

• Define clear and measurable objectives to achieve this vision, and drive their achievement using KPIs with Product Owners

• Manage platform squads on a day-to-day basis to deliver and maintain products

• Oversee the implementation of technical components (infrastructure, services, APIs, pipelines, FinOps, etc.)

• Ensure the operability, reliability, and performance of the platform, aligned with our availability, resilience, and cost challenges.

• Guarantee the security, compliance, and governance of data and services exposed through the platform, in accordance with IT design authority.

• Support data and analytics squads in their use of the platforms (technical support, training, best practices).

• You will take a major leadership over an ambitious 15-20 people team These roles reports into the Director of CoE Data & Tech Platform in the Digital, Data & AI department.

TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE, WE BELIEVE YOU HAVE...

We are seeking a candidate experienced in Product Management with a strong passion for technology and a solid background in the data ecosystem and significant Cloud data platform expertise.

• You have a proven track record of developing product strategies and roadmaps, from design to execution.

• You have proven experiences in shaping data architecture and in operating and transforming data platforms(on-premise, hybrid, cloud) to serve demanding analytics (BI and AI)

• You have a good understanding of market trends in AI, Generative AI (GenAI), Agentic, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), ideally with first-hand experience.

• You have a strong technical background, allows you to collaborate efficiently with both technical experts (IT, architect, DevOps) and Product Owners (Data and analytics).

• You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to manage priorities and align stakeholders.

• You have experience working in agile and cross-functional organizations (product approach).

• You have the ability to synthesize complex information and clearly articulate the strategic vision.
