Job Description:

Ipsen is building its new Global Data & AI division - a central hub to unlock the power of data and artificial intelligence across the entire organization. Join us and lead the development of cutting-edge Data & AI platforms that accelerate innovation and business impact.

Your key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and govern the architecture and technology for enterprise Data & AI platforms, aligned with strategy and product roadmaps.
• Ensure delivery of scalable, secure, interoperable, and high-performing platforms, balancing speed, quality, and cost.
• Guarantee compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements (Security, Data Privacy, GxP, Quality).
• Protect Ipsen's assets from cyber threats and ensure robust platform performance, security, and observability.
• Act as Tech Lead on strategic or complex initiatives when required.
• Collaborate cross-functionally within the Data & AI department and with GDIT teams (Enterprise Architecture, Cloud, Security, etc.).
• Ensure integration of Data, AI, and Digital platforms within Ipsen's IT standards while introducing innovative practices.
• Lead the Center of Excellence for Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, and DevOps.
• Promote adoption of new technologies and methods, and foster a culture of innovation.
• Manage and mentor a team of platform engineers, encouraging continuous improvement.
• Develop and track observability metrics and KPIs (security, availability, performance, FinOps, scalability) to inform decision-making.
• Manage vendor relationships, resource allocation, and procurement to support strategic objectives.

Your profile & expertise

• 10+ years of experience in data platform engineering or related fields, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience designing and governing enterprise Data & AI platforms in complex organizations.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance (GxP), data privacy, and security in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in a matrixed, international environment.
• Business-centric, value-driven, and pragmatic approach.
• Expert in Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, Cloud & Data/AI Solution Architecture, and DevOps.
• Proficient in cloud services (Azure, AWS, Databricks).
• Skilled in infrastructure automation (Terraform), CI/CD (CircleCI, GitHub Actions), and distributed architectures.
• Strong programming skills (Python, ReactJS), API development, and security design.
• Experienced in Agile methodology, project management, and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Fluent in English (mandatory).
