Job Description:

Ipsen is building its new Global Data & AI division - a central hub to unlock the power of data and artificial intelligence across the entire organization. Join us at the heart of this exciting transformation and shape how data drives business value, innovation, and patient impact.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise-wide Data Governance framework, aligned with business objectives and practical policies.
• Drive Master Data Management (MDM) to ensure quality, consistency, and accessibility across key domains (customer, product, study).
• Own and maintain the Data Governance Policy, ensuring compliance (GDPR, local privacy laws) and business usability.
• Collaborate closely with business and IT teams to embed data governance that enables-not hinders-operations.
• Guide and support a community of data stewards, promoting ownership and accountability.
• Manage and mentor a small team (2 direct reports), fostering clarity, collaboration, and delivery focus.
• Define and track data quality KPIs, communicating progress through dashboards and reports.
• Facilitate the Data Governance Council, ensuring alignment and engagement across business domains.
• Champion data literacy and foster a culture of high-quality data across the organization.
• Continuously enhance the Data Governance Operating Model, adapting to business needs and emerging trends.
• Support key business initiatives by embedding data governance and MDM practices into transformation projects, system upgrades, and strategic programs.

Your profile & expertise

• 10+ years of experience in data governance, MDM, or related fields - including 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience implementing enterprise-wide Data Governance & MDM programs in complex organizations.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance (GDPR), risk management, and business alignment.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a matrixed, international environment.
• Business-centric, value-driven, and pragmatic approach.
• Proven ability to develop and coach talents and foster a culture of accountability and data ownership.
• Agile mindset with continuous improvement focus.
• Fluent in English (mandatory).
