Senior Product Definition Analyst - AirOps Data Platform
Summary of the Role

The Senior Product Definition Analyst will primarily be the functional guide for ABI and ASM.

The team is composed of about 10 people, including software development engineers, business analysts, and scrum masters. The team works within the DataSpark train with the other teams located primarily in Nice, Dallas, Bangalore, and London.

ABI is a Cloud Native Application hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), primarily using Java and Kafka for event streaming. ABI is a key middleware primarily used to connect airport Internet of Things (IoT) or legacy devices to cloud-native or legacy applications. For example, it's powering the Amadeus Biometric Solution in the United States in 18 airports with over 5 million passengers boarded since the start.

ASM is on the same stack and is powering the exchange of Bag Messages between airline and airport systems. This allows the timely and accurate processing of bags at the airport, as well as empowering airlines to perform bag tracking for their passengers.

As these two products are middlewares, the Senior Product Definition Analyst should have a proficient technical mindset, ability to understand the technical context, and turn functional requirements into a technical solution.

In this role, you will have a chance to ;

• Understand diverse customer requirements and turn them into actionable backlog items
• Perform functional testing for the product developments
• Write specifications (technical and functional), create training materials, and develop documentation, ensuring documentation is a part of the development process
• Guide the team, coaching and onboarding team members to the functionalities of the product
• Provide support to Implementation teams and work towards the industrialization of the platform
• Perform product demos in the Amadeus Nice Customer Showroom and at various events

About the ideal candidate

• Public speaking skills and interest
• Four years or more experience as a Product Definition Analyst
• Experience in the travel industry or related fields is a plus

AirOps (AOP), previously Airport and Airline Operations (AAO), is the leading industry platform in airline and airport operations, delivering an inclusive and tailored passenger experience, an optimized airport operation, and automated disruption resolution between airlines, airports, border, and air traffic control. Within AirOps, the Data and Platform department (DAP) has a central role, working on different cloud-native products facilitating the use and exchange of data within all AOP products.

The Data and Platform department, supported by the assets of the Amadeus Creation Platform, is building simple and powerful data management capabilities and enabling near real-time data, big data insights, and AI that benefit our customers and all our AirOps teams and products.

Within this department, the Data Aggregator Middleware (DAM) team develops solutions for our fast data platform, Amadeus Biometric Integrator (ABI) - powering devices in airports - and Amadeus Smart Message (ASM), system responsible for delivering baggage messages to the airport.
