We are looking for a dynamic, organized and self-confident Senior Python Developer excited to take on the challenge of building out an enterprise-level infrastructure to support the generation, manipulation, transmission and integration of complex, high-volume data in a demanding, fast-moving, client-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support different phases of the product lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, and deployment
• Develop REST web services to publish large volumes of data for web applications
• Operate effectively within structured environments and large teams managing enterprise-quality systems adhering to rigorous quality control and high standards for reliability and performance
• Promote best practices around quality control, tooling, and agile ceremonies to enhance team productivity
• Participate actively in architectural design discussions and code reviews

Requirements

• Strong skills in Python coding within a Linux/Unix environment
• Proficiency in performance and memory optimization using tools common to the Python ecosystem, such as pandas and Polars
• Familiarity with quality development tools, including source control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD systems like Jenkins
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to have

• Proficiency in packages like Dask, NumPy, and PyArrow
• Background in coding with Java
• Familiarity with working alongside financial subject-area experts to refine and adapt complex, evolving requirements
• Expertise in applying machine-learning and artificial intelligence techniques to analyze large and complex datasets
• Understanding of derivatives pricing and risk calculation methodologies
