We are looking for a Survey & Marine Data Support Engineer to join our team and play a key role in our submarine cable installation projects. You will be involved from the engineering phase to ensure the management of operational data and the documentation and design of cable routes. You will work closely with internal and offshore teams to ensure deliverables are compliant and customer requirements are met throughout the project, from contract signing to commissioning.

You will contribute to the development, revision and optimization of the cable route, while providing operational advice, taking into account internal routing and installation guidelines and project-specific constraints (vessel installation capacities, cable system limitations, seabed conditions, environmental factors, and customer demands).

Main missions:

• Preparing and gathering all required documentation (survey data formatted correctly, operational report templates, survey deliverables procedures... based on standard & client requirements) in anticipation of offshore operations.
• Implementing the QC process of the operational documentation between ASN Marine Office and offshore vessels.
• Performing or supervising cable route engineering reviews during the pre-installation stage to ensure the cable system is robust and appropriately designed.
• Highlighting all risks found during cable route studies and survey to ASN Teams and Client.
• Delivering in due time the proper operational documentation and reporting requirements to the offshore vessels.
• Supporting and following-up the offshore Survey Team during the offshore vessel operations.
• Following up the daily progress of the operations, the associated data reception; and ensuring the data formatting aligns with the standard and project specific requirements for the final reporting.
• Supporting the creation and the delivery of the as-laid documentation (As-laid Charts, As-Laid Routing, Written Report) to ASN and to the final customer.
• Manage technical documentation (TR), draft compliance matrices and perform gap analyses as needed.
• Ensure timely delivery of operational data and track post-operation data of offshore vessels.

Wanted profil

• Master's degree in engineering or related field.
• Strong English proficiency (working in a multicultural environment with English as your primary language)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe
• Experience with CAD and GIS software (AutoCAD, ArcMap, ArcGIS, Global Mapper, Geomedia).
• Experience with Makai Software is a plus.
• Knowledge in Geodesy, Geophysics & Geotechnics is a plus.
• Strong communication skills (project-based work)
• Dynamic, independent and solution oriented.
• Experience in marine activities or cable installation is a plus.
• Ability to understand complex technical/industrial operations.
