Data & AI is a major enabler of AXA Partners' business strategy. New ambition was defined for the plan 2024 - 2026 establishing 3 focus areas on data (Profitability & Pricing, Ops & Network efficiency, Performance dashboards), 3 others on AI (AI for All, AI for Business, AI for IT & Data) and 4 enablers (Governance & Ope Model, Compliance & Quality & Security, Platform & Solutions, People & Culture). High ambitions are set in these areas to support AXA Partners on all domains and contributes to the objectives of top-line, bottom-line, partner & customer as well as employee satisfaction.

Data Science is therefore the cornerstone of the Data & AI transformation journey, ensuring advanced analytics and data-fuelled algorithms are helping business better steering activities, taking faster decisions and provide huge and impactful value to the company.

The Lead Data Scientist is a major contributor to AI products and data science practices aiming at supporting Business ambition.

As Lead Data Scientist, youe key responsibilities would be :

• Definition of AI products & contribution to AI foundation

• Deployment of ad-hoc advanced analytic

• Design, creation and maintenance of machine learning models and AI capabilitie

• Spreading Data & AI culture by promoting the business value delivered with AI at every levels (from employees to senior leaders)

• Collaboration with Data & AI communities (AXA Partners and AXA Group) and IT familie

Qualifications

1. Education:

-Master's degree or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

2. Technical Skills:

-At least 4/6 years' experience in Data Science.

-Proficient in programming languages such as Python or R.

-Experience with machine learning libraries/frameworks (e.g. scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace).

-Strong knowledge of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, algorithms.

-Good understanding of the software development process (Azure DevOps , git, CI/CD etc.).

- Azure Cloud environment knowledge are a plus (big data services, Databricks, ADF, ADLS).

3. Data Handling:

-Experience working with large and complex datasets.

-Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

4. Communication Skills:

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-Ability to convey complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

5. Problem Solving:

-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

-Ability to approach business challenges with a data-driven mindset.

6. Team Collaboration:

-Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

-Demonstrated ability to contribute to team goals and objectives.
