Job Description Summary
To carry out the smart factory program, we need a person capable of translating manufacturing data into actionable insights for our shop floor operators and supervisors. The work will involve translating OT to IT data integration by driving standardization that will enable manufacturing data analytics.

You will contribute towards overall operational improvements enabled by smart factory data analytics. This is a great opportunity if you have excellent communication skills and are passionate about manufacturing, OT & IT data, and digital transformation. We will offer you the chance to work hand-in-hand with the business and IT to drive technological infrastructural change in BD organization. This role will be part of BD Technology Global Services (TGS) group. This position reports directly to the IT Smart Factory Lead Business Partner.

Main responsibilities :
  • As a data analytics specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring data standardization, including data acquisition, cleansing, management, and analytics, to enable performance measurements on the digital platform.
  • Translate strategy into detailed user requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise in extracting, integrating, and analyzing critical data.
  • Analyze and solve quantitative problems and questions with technical analysis.
  • Ensure projects and initiatives are delivered, providing consistent and effective communication on status and handling customer issues and mitigating risk.
  • Measure and communicate value realized on a periodic basis through defined and agreed upon metrics and supporting analysis.
  • Be a continuous connector, passionate about partnership and facilitation, always looking for ways to simplify and improve things.

Preferred profile
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in technology, engineering, analytics, or a related field is highly desirable, with equivalent experience also considered. ddition, this person should also possess:
  • 5+ years of business working experience as a data analyst/engineer ideally in manufacturing and operations domain.
  • Understanding of data architecture, harmonization, and modeling.
  • Proven experience with edge and cloud computing technologies for the OT/IT data collection process ideally in the Medical device or similar GXP domain.
  • Understanding of UX design principles.
  • Exposure to Databricks, SQL/Python/ML methods is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Industrial IoT platforms (Siemens, Schneider, MS, etc.) is desirable.
  • Experienced in bringing to bear smart transformation initiatives across multiple sites in a multinational company, ideally using Industry 4.0 enablers.
  • The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic understanding, both business and technology experience, outstanding relationship-building skills, and an attitude that emphasizes problem-solving.
